SINGAPORE SEO GRANT

SEO Grant for Singapore SMEs | Grow Digital Pte Ltd

While a Singapore SEO grant is not readily available, the Enterprise Development Grant or EDG is a form of funding support disbursed by Enterprise Singapore (ESG) that can be explored to defray some aspects of our SEO work.

The purpose of the EDG grant is to help Singapore small and medium enterprises (SMEs) grow, upgrade capabilities, innovate, transform, and internationalise.

Under the Core Capabilities pillar of “Strategic Brand and Marketing Development”, companies can tap on EDG to better capture target audiences and markets through strategic marketing & analysis.

The EDG grant funds up to 80% of qualified costs for marketing till March 2022. Thereafter, the funding support will resume to its original 70% level.

SEO GRANT to DEFRAY COSTS

It is important to note that EGD does not cover SEO implementation, so it cannot be considered a true SEO grant.

However, due to Grow Digital’s 360 approach to SEO, market research, analysis and strategy form an essential component of any SEO project. EDG can be used to defray these specific costs. So, your overall investment into SEO for your business can be reduced.

Grow Digital Pte Ltd has on staff an Enterprise Singapore-recognised certified management consultant (TR 43:2015) who can assist with the application of the EDG. Enterprise Singapore requires applicants to work with an approved management consultant for EDG projects.

Eligibility Requirements

Enterprise Singapore EDG | Grow Digital Pte Ltd

Here are the basic requirements to be eligible for the Enterprise Development Grant:

    • Be registered and operating in Singapore. The grant is offered to Sole Proprietors, Limited Liability Partnerships and Pte Ltd companies.
    • Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding.
    • Have less than 200 employees OR have less than SGD100 million annual turnover.
    • Be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project. (EDG works on a reimbursement basis and is not an upfront funding grant.)
    • Must not be a start-up. Ideally, the company should have regular business activity and growth for at least 2 to 3 years.
    • Have plans to benefit Singapore workers. This is what Enterprise Singapore calls “workers’ outcomes”. i.e. The EDG applicant intends to increase its number of employees*, increase the salary of existing employees or provide training to upgrade existing employees.

*Officially, your business does not need to have a minimum employee headcount. But, businesses with more than one employee are generally preferred unless you can demonstrate projected growth in human resource with the success of the project.
